Beaches along the Costa de la Luz are generally long, sandy and backed by dunes and pine woods. and are some of the best in Spain. The sand dunes are teeming with wild flowers and bordered by shady pine and eucalyptus trees, they stretch for miles without a single high rise block to blight the horizon. The weather along this coastal region can be very hot in summer with gentle sea breezes to help keep the temperature more comfortable and even in the winter the weather is usually mild. Costa de la Luz boasts an average of 320 days of sunshine a year and the temperature rarely drops below 17░ C.
